She truly became like family

When our wedding plans changed from a big in-state celebration to a smaller destination wedding in the Tennessee mountains, she was right there with us every step of the way. She went above and beyond in every possible aspect, not only capturing the most stunning photos, but also helping us create our timeline and even stepping in the night before to help set up decorations at the venue.

Through all the ups, downs, and chaos of wedding planning, she was our rock. She encouraged us to do what felt right for us, including taking a private sunrise hike for our vow ceremony, instead of feeling pressured by traditional expectations. That advice helped make our wedding day completely true to who we are as a couple.

And the photos… absolutely breathtaking. She captured every big and little moment, every emotion in between, pure joy, laughter, happy tears, all of it. Every single guest told us how much they loved her energy and how fun she was to have around.

We truly cannot recommend Mandy enough. She didn’t just photograph our wedding , she helped us live it fully.

She make us feel so comfortable

In choosing a wedding photographer, we were searching for a specific style to avoid that we saw so often - the orangey filter that we saw with so many photographers.

Mandy's work was true color but enhanced to be rich and deep. We LOVED the color saturation yet clarity her photography had. We are also both so bad at staged photos, so having someone as fun and comforting as Mandy really put us at ease while taking staged photos.

We highly recommend Mandy Star Photography and would choose her time and time again if we had to make the choice again.
